The Head of Alternative Investments will manage and optimize a portfolio of alternative investments within Transamerica's General Account — the primary investment portfolio supporting the company's insurance liabilities and long-term obligations. This senior leadership role involves overseeing private equity, private credit, real estate, infrastructure, and other alternative asset classes as part of the firm's broader investment management strategy.

The role is part of Transamerica's Investment Management function and will involve managing relationships with external managers, monitoring performance, conducting due diligence on new commitments, and ensuring the alternatives portfolio aligns with the company's risk, return, and liability objectives. The Head will collaborate with investment, finance, risk, and compliance teams to execute the alternatives strategy.
