About This Role

Role Overview

Nuveen, the global investment manager owned by TIAA, is hiring a Clean Energy Investment Manager to join its infrastructure and natural capital investment team in London. The successful candidate will support the origination, analysis, and execution of clean energy investments across Europe, within Nuveen's platform managing public and private assets including real estate, infrastructure, and natural capital.

Key Responsibilities

- Produce, develop and review cash-flow-based financial models for renewable energy generation projects, assets and platforms; optimize project contractual structures; draft investment proposals and IC presentations.

- Support origination activities with renewable project developers across the EU-27 and UK; drive execution of acquisitions, exits, project financing and divestments; lead due diligence workstreams and coordinate external advisors; develop a proprietary transaction pipeline.

- Sit on or support portfolio company boards, monitor KPIs, budgets and strategic plans; drive value creation initiatives including growth strategy, M&A and operational improvements; track ESG and energy-transition impact metrics.

- Liaise with renewable energy and clean-tech organizations; research sectors and markets to identify investment opportunities; follow regulatory developments across EU targets and tariff frameworks.

- Contribute to fundraising marketing materials, LP due diligence packs and fund-level reporting.

Qualifications

- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, with a demonstrable equity investment track record from an investment management firm, investment bank, M&A advisory house, energy company/utility/IPP, or consultancy.

- Significant financial modelling expertise; experience with platform strategies in energy transition sectors.

- Corporate finance or project finance transaction experience across origination to execution.

- Fluent English required; additional European languages preferred. Right to work in the UK required.
