Portfolio Investment Manager - Private Equity

Hamilton Bradshaw is hiring an experienced private equity investor to join its investment team as Portfolio Investment Manager. This permanent, full-time role works closely with James Caan and the wider investment team across new investment opportunities, existing portfolio companies, and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Source and originate private equity investment opportunities through an established professional network

- Assess opportunities across business quality, management team, market dynamics, valuation, potential returns and key risks

- Lead deal execution from initial review through due diligence, structuring, negotiation and completion

- Work directly with portfolio companies and their management teams on strategic, financial and commercial priorities

Candidate Profile:

- Strong private equity or principal investing background with a demonstrated track record of evaluating and executing investments

- Proven deal origination capability supported by a relevant professional network

- Hands-on experience across due diligence, valuation, structuring, negotiation and completion

- Strong commercial judgment, clear investment thinking, and the ability to operate confidently in an entrepreneurial environment

The role offers direct exposure to investment decision-making alongside James Caan, broad involvement across origination, execution and portfolio strategy, and the opportunity to invest principal capital through a flexible, high-conviction mandate. Compensation includes a competitive salary, bonus, and a carried interest scheme.
