About This Role

TA Associates is a leading global private equity firm focused on scaling growth in profitable, high-quality companies. Since its founding in 1968, TA has raised $65 billion in capital and invested in more than 560 companies across technology, healthcare, financial services, and business services. The firm employs over 260 professionals globally across offices in Boston, Menlo Park, Austin, London, Mumbai, and Hong Kong.

The Capital Markets Associate position represents a dynamic opportunity for a finance professional to work as a key member of the Capital Markets team at TA Associates. The role will provide leverage and support to the firm's capital markets activities, for both new investments and existing portfolio companies. The associate will integrate with investment teams to support the day-to-day execution of financing transactions and capital markets activity tracking, including financial modeling, structuring alternatives, syndication, and lender diligence.

Key responsibilities include: evaluating and optimizing capital structures for new investments and existing portfolio companies; coordinating financing due diligence with investment deal teams; maintaining an internal database of banking relationships, transaction history and portfolio company capital structures; proactively monitoring existing portfolio performance against covenant compliance; and keeping TA investment professionals updated on current capital markets conditions and latest innovations through weekly and monthly market updates.

Qualifications: Leveraged finance or capital markets professional with 1–2 years of post-undergraduate experience at an investment bank, commercial bank, or private credit fund with particular focus on leveraged finance or PE-sponsored transactions. Experience in day-to-day execution of leveraged financing across multiple transaction types (LBOs, recapitalizations, refinancings, add-on acquisitions, restructurings) required. Strong written and oral communication skills essential. Candidates must exhibit good business judgment and excel in the ability to provide specialized support to multiple private equity deal teams simultaneously in a collaborative manner.
