Founded in 2021 by Eric Garland, Kevin Mayer, Evan Richter and Brad Twohig, Smash Capital is a later-stage investment firm focused on high growth consumer internet, software, and technology companies. The firm invests in founders building generational brands and works to give their companies a competitive advantage by driving resonant, emotional connections with their users at scale. Smash Capital manages over 1 billion dollars in assets across multiple funds, with a portfolio that includes Epic Games, Reddit, DraftKings, DuckDuckGo, MANSCAPED, BYJU S, and NoBull.

Smash Capital is seeking a Vice President who will serve as a deal sourcer and investment professional — combining art, science, engineering, and intensive hard work to source fewer, better deals and support the partners in all aspects of building the firm.

The Vice President will be responsible for sourcing high-quality investment opportunities across the consumer internet, software and technology landscape in Los Angeles and beyond. This is a dual mandate: identifying the next generation of generational brands while supporting the existing portfolio and firm operations.

The role requires strong analytical capabilities to evaluate potential investments, conduct due diligence, and build financial models alongside the partnership team. Candidates should bring proven experience in later-stage venture or growth equity investing, with a strong understanding of the consumer technology landscape.

The VP will work directly alongside the founding partners in a highly entrepreneurial environment, contributing to both sourcing and portfolio development at one of the fastest-growing venture firms in the industry.
