About This Role

Pantheon is recruiting an Associate to join its Private Credit team in New York, focusing on credit secondaries. Pantheon has been at the forefront of private markets investing for more than 40 years, managing approximately $82.3 billion in AUM across private equity, infrastructure, real assets, and private credit strategies, serving more than 750 institutional clients worldwide.

Pantheon Private Credit (PPC) was established in 2018 and manages approximately $15 billion in AUM. It was the first institution to raise a dedicated pool of capital focused on credit secondaries and is one of the most active and scaled buyers in the market. PPC acquires seasoned portfolios of private credit assets — senior, junior, opportunistic, and asset-based — through traditional LP-led secondaries and GP-led secondaries, providing liquidity solutions to LPs and GPs in the private credit markets. The team also co-invests directly into companies and assets alongside credit GPs.

The Associate will primarily support the evaluation of new investment opportunities and ongoing portfolio monitoring. Core responsibilities include:

- Qualitatively and quantitatively evaluating and underwriting new investment opportunities, including due diligence on companies, sectors, loan portfolios, and GPs

- Financial modeling, valuation, and data analysis — a significant portion of time will be spent on financial modeling and deal evaluation

- Preparing and presenting findings and proposals for investment committee and internal meetings

- Assisting in the closing process with legal and operational administration

- Monitoring the private credit industry landscape by participating in GP outreach, manager meetings, and market mapping

- Supporting investor relations with ad hoc requests related to fundraising

- Participating in sourcing activities with GPs, LPs, and intermediaries

Ideal candidates will have 1-3 years of experience in investment banking, private credit, or a related investment role.
