Senior Investment Analyst - High Yield Credit

Role Overview

OPERS (Ohio Public Employees Retirement System) manages a $129 billion portfolio of diversified public and private market assets via a 60-person investment staff, benefiting over one million Ohio public servants. The External Public Markets team is hiring a Senior Investment Analyst to support investment and portfolio management within the High Yield ratings spectrum.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform in-depth fundamental issuer and industry research on assigned sectors within High Yield credit

- Work closely with the High Yield Portfolio Manager to identify attractive investment opportunities

- Develop strategies to help the portfolio beat its benchmark, with a geographic focus predominantly on US high-yield issuers

- Analyze portfolio construction and performance of top-performing investment managers globally, and make investment recommendations

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred

- At least 5 years of experience in investment analysis

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; experience with Bloomberg

- CFA preferred; must be able to obtain SRSIO licensing within six months of hire

Compensation & Location

$161,969.60 - $202,446.40 base, with incentive compensation awards up to 55%. Hybrid role based in Columbus, OH (up to 3 days remote).
