About This Role
Monroe Capital, a leading private credit asset management firm, is seeking an Associate or Senior Associate to join its Capital Markets team in New York, focusing on syndication efforts for leveraged finance transactions.
Monroe Capital specializes in private credit and direct lending, partnering with private equity sponsors to provide financing solutions for middle-market companies.
In this role, you will work as part of the Capital Markets team focused on new syndication efforts, including creating marketing materials, working on legal grids and documentation, tracking syndication progress, and distributing diligence information. You will also assist in evaluating, structuring, and executing senior debt transactions for both buy-side and sell-side opportunities, and serve as a key market intelligence source.
Syndication responsibilities include: creating syndication marketing materials and due diligence packages; communicating with deal team members, corporate executives, private equity clients, bank investors, and other private credit partners; collecting market feedback by vetting proposed transactions with prospective lenders; managing deal data sites and bank group administration.
Market intelligence responsibilities include: maintaining awareness of up-to-date market information on transactions, key terms, and key players; assisting in creating weekly, monthly, and quarterly capital markets updates; maintaining new loan issuance databases.
Origination and structuring responsibilities include supporting capital committee approval processes, performing capital markets due diligence, and assisting in drafting indicative term sheets.
The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of experience in banking, finance, credit, or capital markets, with strong corporate finance skills, experience generating marketing materials, and familiarity with the leveraged loan market.
