About This Role
Marathon Asset Management, a leading global credit manager with over $24 billion of capital under management, is seeking an Associate for its Commercial Real Estate Debt team in London.
Marathon's Commercial Real Estate group has a 28-year history of success partnering with real estate owners and operators to provide lending solutions across the capital stack. The group deploys capital on behalf of Marathon's real estate, asset backed lending and opportunistic credit vehicles, investing across Europe in all property types.
The Associate will participate in a wide range of real estate debt transactions including new debt originations (first mortgage loans, junior debt, B-notes, preferred equity), acquisitions of performing real estate loans, CMBS and real estate corporate loans, as well as restructurings and recapitalizations.
Key responsibilities include sourcing, evaluation and execution of new investments across geographies and property types; preparing detailed investment memorandums and financial models for investment committee review; conducting comprehensive due diligence; and supporting the structuring, negotiation and closing of transactions.
Qualifications: 2-4 years of experience in commercial real estate, investment banking, debt/equity advisory, acquisitions or lending. Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills required.
