Director of Investment and Origination

Kyotherm is an investment platform dedicated to funding renewable thermal and energy efficiency projects. The company has funded eight projects representing approximately 40 MW of installed capacity in the United States and is expanding its North American footprint, backed by a well-capitalized European investment platform.

This Director of Investment and Origination is a senior, entrepreneurial role to lead Kyotherm's North American growth strategy. The successful candidate will originate, structure, and close project finance transactions in the energy transition sector, working closely with the Paris-based investment team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Build and manage a pipeline of projects by engaging with EPC contractors, OEMs, ESCOs, energy users, developers, and technology providers

- Represent Kyotherm at industry events and trade associations across the US, Canada, and Mexico

- Lead all stages of the investment process: screening, due diligence, financial modelling, investment committee presentations, contractual negotiations, closing, and post-closing management

- Structure financing solutions including project finance debt, tax equity, and grants or subsidies

- Monitor federal and state policy, regulatory frameworks, and incentive programs relevant to Kyotherm sectors

Requirements:

- Proven track record in originating, structuring, and closing project finance transactions in the energy transition or infrastructure sector

- Entrepreneurial profile with ability to build from scratch in a new geography

- Deep knowledge of US energy transition financing landscape, including tax equity structures
