Assistant Director, Enterprise Operations & Strategy

HarbourVest Partners, a global private markets investment firm with over 40 years of experience, is seeking an Assistant Director of Enterprise Operations & Strategy to support the operational build-out of new investment solutions for its clients.

The Assistant Director will partner with client operational experts to identify, assess, and establish key operational capabilities related to new products. The role requires cross-functional expertise in one or more operational functions including Accounting, Client Experience, Performance/Analytics, Transfer Agent, Treasury, Corporate Finance, or Compliance. Experience with separately managed mandates, complex open and closed-end fund structures, alternatives, private equity, credit investments, real assets, and performance fee structures is highly valued.

Responsibilities include working closely with Strategy, Innovation, Legal, Compliance, Marketing, Investor Relations, Private Wealth, Tax, and Financial Planning & Analysis teams, as well as external providers. The ideal candidate brings an established network of industry relationships, the ability to provide commercially driven strategic insights, and experience designing operational frameworks for novel financial products. The role is based in Boston with a hybrid work arrangement.
