About This Role

Goldsmith & Co is a single-family office based in Houston, Texas, focused on deploying long-term capital across private markets. Operating with a flexible, opportunistic mandate, the firm invests on behalf of its principal across private equity, venture capital, secondaries, and real assets.

As an Investment Associate, you will work directly alongside senior leadership to evaluate and execute investments across the entire private markets spectrum. This is not a siloed role; the associate will have direct exposure to fund investments, co-investments, secondaries, and direct transactions.

Core Responsibilities: Evaluate and underwrite opportunities through financial modeling, quantitative analysis, and market research across private equity, VC, and alternatives. Draft investment memos and presentations that directly inform the firm capital allocation decisions. Monitor existing investments, track performance metrics, and contribute to overall portfolio construction. Interact directly with external fund managers, sponsors, and counterparties to gather intelligence and assist in sourcing new opportunities. Tackle ad hoc research and strategic projects as a core member of a nimble investment team.

Qualifications: 2-4 years of institutional experience within investment banking, management consulting, private equity, credit, or an allocator platform such as endowments, foundations, or pensions. Advanced financial modeling skills and the ability to efficiently synthesize complex data into a clear investment thesis. Deep intellectual curiosity about how different businesses and asset classes generate returns. Proven ability to thrive in a lean environment that demands autonomy.
