Generate Capital is seeking a Principal, Acquisitions to lead energy infrastructure investment origination and execution from its New York office. Generate Capital is a leading sustainable infrastructure investment platform managing a diversified portfolio of clean energy, water, and mobility projects. In this role, the Principal will originate and underwrite infrastructure investments focused on powering data centers and large industrial loads, including behind-the-meter baseload solutions paired with renewables and battery storage. The position requires owning the full investment lifecycle from initial diligence through Investment Committee approval and closing. The ideal candidate brings a minimum of 9-10 years of relevant investment experience in energy, renewables, or digital infrastructure at a reputable private equity or infrastructure fund, with a demonstrated track record of underwriting and structuring multiple investment types including project equity, mezzanine debt, tax equity, and senior debt. Strong executive presence and the ability to build trusted relationships with partners, customers, lenders, and investors are essential.
