The Director, Portfolio Strategy - Global Initiatives is a high-impact role at the intersection of science, strategy, and business, focused on shaping and advancing a differentiated BioMedicines R&D portfolio from early discovery through clinical development and commercialization readiness.

The role partners closely with senior BioMedicines and Flagship Pioneering leadership to define portfolio direction, build new R&D programs, and drive high-stakes investment and prioritization decisions. The successful candidate will work hands-on with scientific leaders, internal venture teams, and partnering colleagues to translate complex science into clear strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

- Shape and advance the BioMedicines R&D portfolio from early discovery through clinical development

- Partner with senior leadership to define portfolio direction and build new R&D programs

- Drive investment and prioritization decisions across the portfolio

- Work collaboratively with scientific leaders and internal venture teams

- Translate complex scientific insights into clear strategic recommendations

Qualifications:

- Deep experience in life sciences strategy, biotech, or venture capital/private equity in the healthcare sector

- Strong ability to synthesize scientific and business information into clear investment recommendations

- Experience working within or alongside a major life sciences company or investment firm
