Associate, Digital Infrastructure Private Equity - AIP

Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), a part of BlackRock, is seeking an Associate to join its Digital Infrastructure Private Equity investment team in New York. GIP manages over 89 billion in assets under management across energy, transport, digital infrastructure, and water and waste management sectors, making it one of the world's leading infrastructure investors.

The Associate will play a key role in underwriting and managing investments for both GIP's Flagship Fund and the Artificial Intelligence Infrastructure Partnership (AIP) fund, which focuses specifically on the rapidly growing AI infrastructure ecosystem including data centers, fiber networks, and digital assets.

Key Responsibilities:

- Financial Modeling: Develop, utilize, and analyze robust financial models supporting deal underwriting and deal structuring for infrastructure assets

- Due Diligence and Execution: Conduct thorough due diligence, financial reviews, and prepare investment committee presentations for potential digital infrastructure investments

- Market Research: Perform deep research on potential investments, industries, competitive dynamics, and market positioning within the digital infrastructure space

- Portfolio Company Monitoring: Monitor portfolio companies, analyze add-on opportunities and financing structures, interact with management teams, and support exit preparation

Qualifications:

- Undergraduate degree with strong academic background

- Minimum 2 years of experience in investment banking and/or private equity

- Prior experience in data centers, digital infrastructure, or TMT is preferred

- Superior analytical, financial modeling, and accounting skills

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

Compensation: 35,000 – 80,000 base salary, plus discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits package including healthcare, retirement benefits, and Flexible Time Off (FTO).
