Senior Director, Debt Capital Markets

Role Overview

BKM Capital Partners, an institutional real estate investment manager focused on multi-tenant industrial properties across the Western United States, is hiring a Senior Director, Debt Capital Markets to lead and scale the firm's debt capital markets function. The role is based full-time in Newport Beach, CA and reports to the Partner, Managing Director - Acquisitions & Dispositions.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the overall debt capital markets strategy for BKM and its sponsored investment vehicles

- Develop and execute short- and long-term financing strategies aligned with the firm's growth objectives

- Advise executive leadership and the Investment Committee on debt structure, leverage, capital stack optimization, refinancing, and portfolio-level financing initiatives

- Lead sourcing, negotiation, and execution of property-level, portfolio-level, and fund-level financing transactions

- Cultivate relationships with banks, life companies, debt funds, CMBS lenders, credit unions, and alternative capital providers

- Directly manage the Debt Capital Markets team, including the Director, Debt Capital Markets and Loan Manager

- Oversee preparation of financing packages, lender materials, financial models, and underwriting analyses

Qualifications

- Experience leading debt capital markets or real estate finance functions at an institutional real estate investment manager

- Track record structuring and negotiating property-, portfolio-, and fund-level financing

- Strong lender relationships across banks, life companies, debt funds, and CMBS lenders

- People management experience leading a debt capital markets team
