Vice President/Director, Capital Formation

B Capital is a multi-stage investment firm focused on technology investing, seeking a Vice President/Director to join its Capital Formation team. This is a fundraising role reporting to the Managing Director of Capital Formation, responsible for building LP relationships and raising capital across funds and co-investments.

Key responsibilities include originating, driving, and closing new LP commitments across institutional, family office, wealth management, and high-net-worth channels. The role manages the full fundraising cycle from prospect mapping through to close, partnering with investment leadership to refine fund positioning and tailor messages to different LP segments.

The Vice President/Director will prepare and customize fundraising materials (presentations, data room content, DDQs, RFPs, track record and portfolio analyses) in support of capital-raising efforts. The role requires building and maintaining a high-quality pipeline with strong CRM discipline, tracking interactions, feedback, and probability-weighted opportunities.

The position requires leveraging and deepening relationships with gatekeepers and intermediaries—including investment consultants, private banks, and placement agents—and representing B Capital at LP meetings, conferences, and industry events as a front-line fundraiser for the platform.

Requirements include 6–10 years of capital-raising experience in venture capital, private equity, private credit, or adjacent alternatives, ideally from a fundraising/capital formation role at a PE/VC firm, a placement agent, or from private capital advisory at an investment bank. Demonstrated experience raising capital from endowments, foundations, pension funds, funds of funds, wealth managers, and/or family offices is required.

The role can be based in New York City, San Francisco, or Los Angeles. Experience in technology investing and a strong interest in technology is highly desired.
