Principal, Global Corporate Credit – Automotive

Apollo Global Management is seeking a Principal to join its Industry Research group focused on the Automotive vertical. The role is part of the Corporate Credit team and covers all stages of the investment process — from initial diligence through monitoring — on performing loans and special-situation credit opportunities across the Automotive industry.

Key responsibilities include partnering with the Sector Head on investment activities (new issues, secondary, and portfolio monitoring), conducting research and analytics on potential opportunities, performing financial modeling and quarterly reporting, and developing investment committee memoranda.

Requirements: 10+ years of investment banking (Leveraged Finance, Financial Sponsors, Restructuring) or buy-side credit investing experience; strong analytical and financial modeling skills; excellent written and verbal communication. Specific experience in Automotive and/or Retail is a plus.
