PEPI Associate - Commercial Due Diligence

A&M's Private Equity Performance Improvement Services (PEPI) practice focuses on serving middle market and large cap private equity firms, helping them improve operating results at their portfolio companies across deal stages from diligence through exit.

The PEPI Commercial Due Diligence team provides investment-grade strategic insights to private equity clients considering acquisitions. The team serves as an extension of the deal team, delivering rigorous market and competitive analysis that supports or challenges investment theses under tight transaction timelines.

As an Associate, you will:

- Conduct primary and secondary market research on target companies and industries

- Build analytical models covering market sizing, growth driver analysis, and competitive dynamics

- Support expert interviews, customer surveys, and channel research

- Produce high-quality Excel analyses and PowerPoint deliverables for PE client presentations

- Ensure accuracy, documentation, and analytical rigor on live deal engagements

- Work across industries and business models, rapidly building domain expertise

Success in this role requires reliable analytical execution, strong attention to detail, intellectual curiosity across sectors, and the ability to perform under tight timelines. The PEPI practice offers direct exposure to private equity deal processes and portfolio company operations, serving as a launching pad for careers in PE investing or operating partner roles.
