VC Principal at Primary Venture Partners (New York City, NY)

Primary Venture Partners is a New York-based venture capital firm investing in early-stage B2B technology companies. This role reports directly to General Partner Brad Svrluga and focuses on deal sourcing, evaluation, and investment execution across SaaS and enterprise technology.

Key Responsibilities:

- Source and evaluate B2B investment opportunities

- Build and maintain relationships with founders in the NYC, SF, and Boston tech ecosystems

- Lead deal execution from initial meeting through term sheet and closing

- Support portfolio companies post-investment

Required Qualifications:

- 5–8 years of real-world experience (preferably toward the higher end of that range)

- Startup operating experience preferred

- Deep knowledge of SaaS and enterprise tech landscape

- Strong analytical background (comparable to McKinsey, Goldman Sachs, or Insight Partners)

- Demonstrated networking ability, particularly within NYC tech community

- MBA is nice to have, not required

Compensation: Market-competitive base salary plus carry in the fund.
