Private Markets Risk Manager

Aksia, an alternative assets specialist providing investment solutions for institutional investors globally, is seeking a Private Markets Risk Manager to lead two existing teams within the firm. As of November 2025, Aksia advises on over $329 billion and manages $35 billion of client capital across private credit, private equity, real assets, and hedge funds.

The role involves leading the Data Team, which monitors private funds and their underlying investments, managers, and companies within Aksia's investing universe across private credit, private equity, real assets, and real estate. This person will translate imperfect, non-standardized datasets into actionable analyses and contribute to Aksia's data-driven investment insights and theses.

The role also involves leading the Risk Team, which supports Aksia's co-investment strategy by monitoring contractual deliverables from borrowers and collecting, extracting, validating, and storing borrower financial information. This person will oversee risk monitoring and the capture of deal characteristics.

Key responsibilities include leading and developing a global team of private markets risk and data analytics professionals, processing large volumes of data to identify performance trends and empower investment recommendations and market-wide analysis, and designing and evolving risk and analytics frameworks. The position is ideally based in Chicago or New York, though remote locations within the US are considered. Regular interaction with global colleagues and clients is expected.
