About This Role
Aksia is an alternative assets specialist providing bespoke investment solutions for institutional investors globally, offering advisory, investment management, and research services across private credit, private equity, real assets, and hedge funds. As of March 31, 2026, Aksia advises on over $338 billion and manages $36 billion of client capital.
Aksia's Private Credit team partners with institutional investors to design and implement portfolios across corporate direct lending, opportunistic and stressed/distressed credit, specialty finance, asset-backed credit, and related strategies, investing through primary fund commitments, co-investments/directs, secondaries, and bespoke mandates and separately managed accounts.
Aksia is seeking an Analyst/Associate to join its Private Credit portfolio team in New York. The role sits at the intersection of investment underwriting, portfolio management, investor reporting, and product development, offering broad exposure to private credit strategies, managers, and transactions, with significant responsibility and regular interaction with investment professionals, clients, and senior leadership.
Responsibilities span portfolio construction and management, supporting implementation across private credit funds, mandates, and customized client portfolios; analyzing exposures across strategies, sectors, geographies, borrowers, and sponsors; assisting with deployment planning, liquidity management, and rebalancing; and maintaining monitoring frameworks including leverage analysis, covenant tracking, and risk reporting. Investment and deal analytics duties include managing transaction databases and loan tapes, overseeing the weekly deal pipeline, developing comparable transaction databases for underwriting and investment committee discussions, and producing portfolio attribution reporting. The role also supports quarterly portfolio reviews, client reporting, investment committee materials, new fund launches, and capital raising documentation, while serving as a steward of portfolio data integrity across investment, reporting, and operational systems.
Candidates should have 2-8 years of experience in private markets, leveraged finance, investment management, or a related analytical role, with strong quantitative capabilities and attention to detail. The estimated base salary range is $80,000-$120,000, specific to New York, plus a discretionary performance bonus and benefits.
