TruAmerica Multifamily, founded in 2013 as a partnership between industry veteran Robert E. Hart and The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America, is a privately held real estate investment firm that acquires, redevelops and manages apartment communities in primary and secondary US markets. TruAmerica has grown into a Top 25 US apartment owner with over 60,000 units across 25 high-growth markets and roughly $16 billion of assets under management.

The Acquisitions Manager will manage and oversee the acquisitions process end-to-end: overseeing analyst and intern-level underwriting, reviewing investment memos, and running due diligence/closing. The role assists the Acquisitions Officer in co-sourcing marketed and off-market multifamily opportunities, building relationships with principals and investment sales brokers, and screening deals against TruAmerica's investment criteria. It also supports capital raising — sourcing joint-venture limited partner equity and partnering with agency, bank, life co and debt-fund lenders to close optimal debt structures, including investor pitches and reviewing joint-venture term sheets — plus mentoring and training analysts and interns.

Candidates need a bachelor's degree in real estate, finance, economics or a related field, prior experience at a real estate investment firm, commercial mortgage bank, financial institution or accounting firm, strong Excel/PowerPoint skills, and familiarity with complex financial and waterfall models. Base salary is $130,000-$150,000 plus a discretionary bonus, with a comprehensive benefits package including fully employer-paid medical/dental/vision premiums and a 401(k) match.
