Executive Director, Fund Finance

Standard Chartered is seeking an Executive Director to lead and expand its Fund Finance operations in New York. This role offers a pivotal opportunity to originate, structure, and execute fund finance transactions at one of the world's leading international banks.

The Executive Director will be responsible for steering the bank's fund finance business including subscription finance, NAV financing, hybrid facilities, and GP/management company financing. The role combines origination, structuring, and client relationship management with governance responsibilities across the global fund finance book.

Key responsibilities include:

- Maximizing customer profitability by originating, leading, structuring, executing and distributing fund finance transactions including fund level subscription financing, NAV financing, and GP financing

- Establishing and maintaining governance and oversight of the Global Fund Finance book

- Achieving quantitative and qualitative performance objectives for the fund finance business

- Cultivating client relationships and prospecting new financing opportunities through premier product and solution offerings

- Developing new products and structures to meet client needs and market trends

- Representing Standard Chartered Fund Finance in the marketplace and participating in the Fund Finance Association

- Developing relationships with key stakeholders and product partners to maximize cross-sell opportunities

Ideal candidates will have 11+ years of commercial banking experience with a minimum of 4 years in fund finance. The role requires strong analytical, quantitative, and credit underwriting skills alongside broad financing and capital markets expertise. Experience reading, negotiating, and interpreting legal agreements is essential, as is a strong network within the private funds industry covering PE, VC, infrastructure, and real asset managers.
