Private Equity Sr Associate/Vice President

About the Role

Software Growth Partners (SGP) is a Silicon Valley-based private equity firm specializing in SaaS and software-enabled service businesses. SGP takes a partnership-driven, hands-on approach, working closely with founder-owned companies and entrepreneurs seeking liquidity while retaining growth upside. This full-time Sr Associate/Vice President role splits time roughly 50/50 between portfolio support and new investment sourcing.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee strategic finance initiatives across portfolio companies, tracking KPIs and value-creation playbooks

- Prepare regular reporting for internal and external stakeholders

- Source and evaluate new investment opportunities in SaaS and software-enabled services

- Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and preliminary deal screening

- Build and stress-test detailed financial models

- Perform commercial, financial, and operational due diligence

- Prepare investment memos and support transaction execution

- Collaborate with firm leadership to refine investment theses and participate in negotiations

Qualifications

- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills

- Prior experience in private equity investing, ideally with SaaS/technology-enabled services exposure

- Background in corporate finance, investment banking, management consulting, or buy-side investing

- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or business; MBA a plus

- Previous operating experience in the office of the CFO preferred
