Chief Financial Officer

A real estate private equity firm based in California is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead enterprise-wide finance operations. The role offers a compensation of $300,000–$325,000 per year with a remote-friendly work arrangement and active CPA requirement.

The CFO will serve as the key financial architect for a multi-entity real estate investment platform with LP, joint venture, and EB-5 capital structures.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead enterprise-wide finance, accounting, reporting, treasury, tax, and audit functions

- Build and expand the finance department across accounting, financial planning, fund accounting, treasury, and tax divisions

- Manage consolidated reporting under GAAP standards, multi-entity consolidations, and partnership accounting structures

- Drive budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and liquidity planning initiatives

- Serve as strategic advisor to leadership on capital allocation and growth strategy

- Oversee investor and lender financial reporting for limited partners, joint venture partners, and EB-5 stakeholders

- Establish institutional-quality financial systems and internal controls

Requirements:

- Active CPA certification required

- 10+ years progressive finance leadership in real estate development, REITs, private equity, or family offices

- Expertise in multi-entity consolidations and partnership accounting

- Real estate development and construction accounting experience

- Demonstrated ability building high-performing finance teams

- Big Four background and public-company audit experience preferred

- Entrepreneurial mindset with technical rigor for fast-paced environments
