Director, Investor Data, Private Markets at Preqin (BlackRock) — London

Preqin, a part of BlackRock and the world's leading data and insights provider for the alternative assets industry, is seeking a Director to oversee its Investor dataset in the EMEA region. This leadership role drives innovation across the data lifecycle, builds scalable quality frameworks, and leads high-performing global teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Ensure data collected by the team is high quality, comprehensive, and meets client expectations

- Implement practices to improve quality measurement and feedback processes

- Collaborate with product teams and data governance units to align methodologies

- Act as an authority on the Investor dataset, providing support for internal and external stakeholders

- Look for opportunities to optimise operations and upskill the team

- Lead day-to-day development of the team, ensuring effective training and maintaining team motivation

- Build scalable processes and technology-enabled solutions to improve data collection coverage in EMEA

Requirements:

- Deep knowledge of the alternative assets / private markets industry

- Experience in data management, data operations, or research at a financial data firm

- Strong people leadership and operational excellence

- Ability to collaborate across product, sales, and technology teams
