Associate Director, Private Equity/Hedge Fund Controller

PINE Advisor Solutions is seeking an Associate Director, Private Equity/Hedge Fund Controller to provide fractional CFO support to hedge fund and private equity clients while overseeing key fund administration and accounting processes.

In this role, you will review fund NAV calculations, oversee financial reporting, coordinate audits and tax processes, and serve as a primary liaison between clients and fund administrators. You will manage multiple client engagements while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and strong operational oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

- Nurture multiple client relationships

- Review monthly/quarterly calculation of hedge fund/private equity fund NAVs as prepared by the administrator

- Track, process, review and approve fund expenses

- Review partner allocations, waterfall schedules, and fee calculations including management fees, professional fees, and performance fees

- Review capital activity including capital calls, distributions, and transfers

- Coordinate and manage the external audit and tax process on behalf of multiple clients, including managing the preparation and issuance of audited financial statements

- Review and approve annual K-1s for private funds and tax returns

- Provide oversight of clients' management company books and records including payroll processing, accounts payable and receivable, general bookkeeping and invoicing

- Spearhead the development and implementation of streamlined processes and procedures within the CFO Services department
