Infrastructure Investment Associate – Debt/Financing

DWS Group is seeking an Infrastructure Investment Associate to join its US Infrastructure Debt platform in New York, which manages in excess of $5 billion of committed capital across multiple credit funds and separately managed accounts. Since its inception in 2014, the investment team has deployed capital into over 170 investments across North America.

DWS Infrastructure acquires and manages both debt and equity investments in businesses providing essential infrastructure services across the transport, energy, utilities, digital, circular economy, and healthcare sectors. With investment teams in Europe and the US, the platform has funds under management of approximately EUR 15 billion globally.

The Investment Associate will be involved in all aspects of the private debt investment process for the credit funds and will assist in managing assets within the funds portfolios.

Key Responsibilities

Lead all phases of the investment process including origination, financial modelling, due diligence, and preparation and presentation of investment memoranda. Build, review, and update financial models to support investment appraisal, valuation analysis, and credit analysis of infrastructure assets. Take on asset management responsibilities with respect to portfolio investments, with a view to maximising performance. Conduct ongoing monitoring of portfolio companies, track financial covenants, and prepare performance reports for internal and external stakeholders. Support fundraising and investor relations activities as required. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including legal, compliance, and risk management throughout the investment lifecycle.

Candidate Profile

Strong financial modelling, accounting, and credit analysis skills. Deep knowledge of infrastructure sectors and private debt investment structures. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Demonstrated interest in the infrastructure industry and its various subsectors including energy transition, digital infrastructure, and transportation. Prior experience at an investment bank, infrastructure fund, or credit fund preferred.
