Value Creation Manager

FairCap, a fast-growing, internationally oriented private equity firm based in Munich, is seeking a Value Creation Manager to accelerate value creation across its portfolio of small and medium-sized companies. FairCap acquires SMEs and transforms them into sustainable, high-performing organizations through a long-term entrepreneurial approach that benefits all stakeholders, including the environment.

In this role, you will develop comprehensive value creation concepts focused on growth, cost efficiency, and liquidity, as well as short- and mid-term business optimization strategies — and implement them hands-on and cross-functionally on-site at portfolio companies. You will work closely with the Operating Partner and management teams, and take on interim management responsibilities within portfolio companies, for example in production, procurement, or supply chain management.

Additional responsibilities include setting up and leading project management offices (PMOs) to ensure structured execution of value-creation programs, leading cost optimization and carve-out projects to boost efficiency and independence, and developing and implementing ESG initiatives. You will coordinate operational experts across functions including Sales, Procurement, Lean, and IT to deliver measurable impact.

Typical situations you will encounter include complex carve-outs from larger corporations requiring strategic and operational restructuring, turnaround scenarios where below-average profitability must be addressed through rapid improvement programs, and change management engagements involving strategic reorientation of products, sales, and organizational culture.

The ideal candidate brings 5–8 years of experience in transformation, restructuring, or turnaround projects, an entrepreneurial mindset with willingness to take financial stakes, and strong interpersonal skills combining assertiveness with an inspiring, trust-building presence. Willingness to travel across Europe is required. Business-fluent English is essential; French and/or Italian are a plus.
