About This Role

Role Overview

Nomura Capital Management (NCM) — the private markets investment arm Nomura Holding America established to expand the firm's investment management business in the Americas — is hiring a Vice President for its Private Credit Team. NCM provides RIAs and their clients with access to private markets, starting with the Nomura Alternative Income Fund (NAIFX), an interval fund offering diversified exposure to private credit, and a subsequent private credit drawdown strategy. Additional private markets products across real estate, infrastructure, private equity and venture capital are in development.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead manager research and selection for the Private Credit Team within NAIFX.

- Source and manage relationships with best-in-class GPs, focused primarily on US-based managers in Asset-Based Lending, Specialty Finance, and Real Estate Debt.

- Work closely with NAIFX portfolio managers to deploy capital effectively.

- Conduct due diligence on prospective investment managers, evaluating private credit funds and co-investments across limited partnerships, SPV/JVs, co-investments and secondaries.

- Source GP relationships by engaging with fund managers, industry participants, placement agents, investment consultants, and personal network.

Qualifications

- 5-7 years of experience in private credit manager selection and research.

- Extensive quantitative, data management and research skills.

- Deep familiarity with interval funds, private credit portfolio construction and risk management.

- Demonstrated track record sourcing and conducting due diligence on managers within asset-based lending, specialty finance and private real estate debt.

Compensation & Location

- New York, NY (Midtown) — hybrid schedule: Monday-Wednesday in office, Thursday-Friday optional home or office.

- Pay range at commencement of employment: $200,000 - $250,000/year, plus additional compensation and benefits.
