About This Role

Liberty Mutual Investments (LMI) is seeking an Associate to join its Energy and Infrastructure Credit team in Boston, MA. LMI is the investment firm for Liberty Mutual Group, investing more than $100 billion of long-term capital globally with a team of nearly 300 investment, finance, and operations professionals. LMI manages a $22 billion Global Alternative Markets platform that spans public and private investments across real estate, digital infrastructure, healthcare, renewable energy, and technology.

The Energy and Infrastructure Credit team operates within the Alternative Credit group and focuses on credit investments across the infrastructure spectrum including traditional energy, renewable power, energy transition, digital infrastructure, and diversified infrastructure assets. The team targets both investment-grade and growth credit opportunities through subject matter expertise, flexible underwriting, and execution speed.

This Associate role offers the opportunity to play a meaningful role on a lean, high-performing team contributing to the growth and continued success of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

- Transaction Execution: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, partnering with senior team members to support all aspects of deal evaluation including investment framing, credit underwriting, due diligence, structuring, and investment committee process management

- Coordinate with internal stakeholders as deals move from initial screening to close

- Develop investment materials and presentations for internal and external audiences

- Conduct credit analysis and financial modeling for infrastructure credit investments

- Monitor existing portfolio investments and support asset management activities

Qualifications:

- 2-4 years of experience in infrastructure or energy credit investing, investment banking, or financial analysis

- Strong financial modeling and credit analysis capabilities

- Knowledge of energy, renewable power, and infrastructure sectors

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
