Role Overview

Keyhorse Capital — the venture capital initiative of Kentucky Science & Technology Corporation (KSTC) — is hiring a Venture Capital Analyst to support its early-stage investment activity in Kentucky-based startups. The role is based in Kentucky, with a preference for candidates in Louisville, Lexington, or Northern Kentucky.

Key Responsibilities

- Screen and evaluate inbound investment opportunities

- Conduct research and financial analysis on prospective portfolio companies

- Build and maintain financial models supporting investment decisions

- Draft investment memos for the deal team

- Manage and maintain data hygiene in the firm's deal-pipeline tracking systems

- Network within Kentucky's startup and entrepreneurial community to support deal sourcing

Qualifications

- 2+ years of experience in venture capital or finance

- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling

- Comfort working with databases and Google Workspace tools

- Bachelor's degree preferred, ideally in business or a related field

Compensation

Salary range: $70,000–$90,000 per year, with competitive benefits.
