About This Role

A fast-growing venture capital firm with a data-driven, high-volume investment approach is seeking a Principal, Capital Formation to lead fundraising and LP relationship management across multiple funds.

This is a senior, high-impact role for an experienced capital raiser who can independently manage the full fundraising lifecycle — from initial outreach and prospecting through due diligence and closing.

The firm backs early-stage startups with a differentiated model combining deep market insight with disciplined, scalable fund operations. With a strong footprint across the startup ecosystem, they partner with founders at the earliest stages and support hundreds of emerging companies.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead end-to-end fundraising for multiple venture funds, targeting institutional LPs, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals. Develop and execute capital formation strategies, manage investor communications, and clearly articulate the firm’s investment strategy and performance. Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing and prospective limited partners, and collaborate with the investment team to align fundraising strategy with fund objectives. Active presence in the broader VC and startup ecosystem is expected, with regular travel to meet investors.

Qualifications:

5–10+ years of experience raising capital for venture funds, with a proven track record of converting prospects into LPs and quantifiable fundraising outcomes. Deep understanding of the VC and startup ecosystem including accelerators. Strong communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills. Experience raising $100M+ across one or more funds is preferred, along with an existing network of LP relationships in North America and globally.

Compensation: $175,000–$250,000 base + performance-based incentives. Location: San Francisco Bay Area (Hybrid).
