Director, SBIC Limited Partner Investments - Huntington Private Capital

The Director of SBIC Limited Partner Investments supports Huntington Private Capital's business development and investment activities through the sourcing, evaluation, underwriting, execution, and monitoring of Limited Partner (LP) investments in Small Business Investment Companies (SBICs) and other private investment funds. The role develops and executes investment strategies designed to generate attractive risk-adjusted returns while supporting Huntington's strategic objectives, regulatory requirements, and small business development initiatives. The Director partners closely with fund managers, internal stakeholders, and distribution teams to identify investment opportunities and expand relationships throughout the Huntington footprint. Responsibilities include sourcing and evaluating SBIC and private fund investment opportunities; developing relationships with SBIC fund managers, sponsors, general partners and industry intermediaries; leading investment underwriting, due diligence, and approval processes for prospective LP investments; assessing investment strategies, management teams, fund structures and portfolio construction methodologies; preparing investment memoranda and committee presentations; monitoring portfolio performance and fund compliance; reviewing capital calls, distributions, valuations and fund reporting; and evaluating co-investment opportunities arising from sponsor relationships. Requirements: bachelor's degree, 5+ years of SBIC or alternative investment experience, extensive knowledge of SBIC funds, private equity, private credit, mezzanine finance and alternative investment structures, and strong financial modeling and portfolio management skills.
