VP, Portfolio Operations - Finance & Insights

Hoxton Circle is partnering with a New York-based private equity firm to recruit a VP of Portfolio Operations - Finance & Insights, reporting directly to the PE firm's CFO. This role sits at the intersection of finance, operations, and governance, driving consistency, transparency, and actionable insight across the fund's portfolio.

The VP will lead portfolio-wide consolidation, elevate KPI frameworks, and improve the speed and quality of financial reporting to support value creation and investment decision-making. Operating with an exit-ready mindset from day one, this individual will translate performance into clear drivers of value.

Key responsibilities include partnering with portfolio company CFOs and controllers to strengthen Finance & Accounting processes, driving growth through helping portfolio companies execute their value creation plans, and identifying inefficiencies to accelerate timelines and enhance reporting quality. The VP will also lead consolidation of portfolio company financials across the fund, establish standardized monthly reporting packages, and assist deal teams in translating company-level results into clear, investor-ready summaries.

The ideal candidate will have experience in private equity portfolio operations, financial planning & analysis, or a related field, with demonstrated ability to partner cross-functionally with both investment professionals and operational teams. Strong financial modeling, communication, and project management skills are essential.
