Vice President, Alternatives Capital Formation – Private Credit Senior Direct Lending

Goldman Sachs Asset Management, one of the world's leading asset managers with over $3 trillion in assets under supervision, is seeking a Vice President to join its Alternatives Capital Formation (ACF) team focused on Private Credit Senior Direct Lending.

ACF is part of the Client Solutions Group within Asset & Wealth Management and manages capital raising across the full spectrum of alternatives including private equity, private credit, real estate, infrastructure, and growth equity. This specific role sits within ACF Private Credit Senior Direct Lending.

The VP will be responsible for driving commercial strategy, capital formation, and client engagement initiatives across senior direct lending strategies. Working in close partnership with the Sales team, the role involves building and deepening client relationships by delivering market insights and product expertise across regions and channels.

Key responsibilities include articulating private credit strategy nuances to institutional stakeholders, collaborating to execute global go-to-market strategies, leading development of marketing content, directing client due diligence processes from initial engagement through legal documentation, and developing strategic proposals for institutional clients.

The role requires frequent client meetings and regular business travel. As a senior team member, the VP will also mentor and guide junior colleagues.

Ideal candidates bring extensive experience in private credit capital formation or investor relations, a strong network across institutional investors, and deep knowledge of direct lending markets and structures.
