Vice President Private Debt

BNP Paribas Asset Management (BNPP AM), one of Europe's leading asset managers with approximately €1.6 trillion in AUM following the integration of AXA Investment Managers, is seeking a Vice President for its Private Debt Co-investments team in London. This hybrid role reports to the Head of Private Debt Co-investments.

The position focuses on analyzing and structuring co-investments in private debt opportunities across a wide range of industries, geographies (Europe and US), and instruments including unitranche, senior secured, and subordinated debt. The selected candidate will execute direct lending co-investments under the supervision of the Head of Private Debt Co-investments.

Opportunity Screening responsibilities include reviewing new credit opportunities (direct investments, LP investments, and secondary trades), assessing credit merits and associated risks, and evaluating key legal terms. The VP will determine investment fit with portfolio construction objectives and targeted returns, evaluate ESG impact, and share findings with the team to make recommendations based on initial opportunity assessment.

Deal Execution and Monitoring responsibilities include running in-depth analysis of credit opportunities through review of information materials and due diligence reports, assessing key risks and mitigants, and preparing comprehensive financial models with sensitivity analysis and business valuation and debt coverage. The role also involves evaluating appropriate debt structures and terms for each transaction.
