About This Role

Providence Equity Partners is seeking a Vice President to join its Valuation & Strategic Analysis team in London. Founded in 1989 and headquartered in Providence, Rhode Island, the firm is a leading middle-market private equity investor with deep sector expertise in media, communications, and education across North America and Europe. Providence has invested over $40 billion across more than 180 portfolio companies, with its transatlantic investment team based in London, New York, and Boston.

The Vice President will play a central role in assisting with the quarterly valuation of Providence Equity's portfolio companies in accordance with ASC 820, the US GAAP fair value measurement standard. The role involves close collaboration with finance, investment, and investor relations teams to support financial planning and analysis projects spanning fund performance analysis, LP reporting, fundraising materials, and benchmarking.

Specific responsibilities include conducting valuation analysis across Providence's core sectors of media, communications, education, and technology; preparing materials for financial reporting and fundraising; fund forecasting and scenario analysis; supporting new fund launches; and responding to investor due diligence requests. The VP will also create ad hoc reports for senior leadership and various departments across the firm.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics — with an MBA, CFA, or CPA considered ideal but not required — and 5 to 7 years of relevant experience. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, advanced Excel proficiency, and a high degree of professional maturity are required. The ability to work independently, prioritise multiple assignments, and interact effectively across all levels of the organization is essential.

Providence Equity's London office forms a key part of its transatlantic platform, supporting investment, portfolio management, and fundraising activities across European markets.
