Associate, Private Equity Investment Team (Petershill Strategies), Goldman Sachs Asset Management

Goldman Sachs Asset Management Petershill Strategies team seeks an Associate for its GP stake investment platform. Petershill (established 2007) specializes in acquiring non-controlling equity interests in alternative asset manager management companies. With over $17 billion raised and 50+ alternative asset management firm partnerships, Petershill provides strategic capital to accelerate GP development, supporting employee retention, business development, legacy equity buyouts, and strategic optionality while preserving entrepreneurial culture.

Key responsibilities include conducting due diligence and evaluating GP stakes and preferred equity transactions, with a focus on fundamental valuation across strategy and sector-focused GPs; developing investment materials and presenting opportunities to the Investment Committee; coordinating execution across all deal types, working with internal parties (counsel, compliance, risk and liquidity management) and external parties (private market GPs, external counsel); cultivating relationships with leading alternative asset managers for GP stakes and related capital solutions; and monitoring the performance and risk profile of existing portfolio investments.

Qualifications: Minimum 3 years of experience in Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, M&A, Leveraged Finance, GP stakes, or Private Equity. Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
