About This Role

<p>NexDash is building Europe's first neo-carrier platform: a fully electrified, AI-orchestrated and long-term autonomous platform for emission-free road freight. The company acquires mid-sized trucking companies (Mittelstand), electrifies their fleets, and connects vehicles, energy, financing and operational control in an integrated system.</p><p>NexDash is strongly funded and backed by leading European and US venture capital firms. Their proprietary AI platform, NexOS, handles routing, charging planning, fleet operations, maintenance and financing.</p><h3>Role Overview</h3><p>As Head of M&A Origination, you will own the identification, initial outreach and qualification of acquisition targets in the DACH region — primarily owner-operated trucking companies with succession, growth or transformation needs. You will be the first personal point of contact between NexDash and entrepreneurs looking to take their companies into the next generation.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Active research and outreach to suitable trucking companies across DACH</li><li>Build personal relationships with owners, managing directors and business families</li><li>Conduct initial conversations, on-site meetings and opportunity qualification</li><li>Understand key deal drivers: customer base, fleet composition, driver pool, profitability, succession planning, debt levels and investment needs</li><li>Gather relevant documents: management accounts, balance sheets, annual reports, fleet structure, employee and revenue overviews</li><li>Structured documentation of each opportunity in the deal funnel</li><li>Clean handover of qualified deals to COO and CFO who manage due diligence, structuring and closing</li><li>High-volume outreach, follow-up and relationship building</li></ul><h3>Success Metric</h3><p>At any given time, a minimum of five qualified candidates are in active conversation with financial documents received — meaning strategic fit confirmed, personal relationship established, genuine sale/succession/partnership interest identified, and clean handover to COO/CFO possible.</p><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Deep understanding of Mittelstand businesses and owner-operator mindset</li><li>Experience in M&A origination, corporate development, deal sourcing or business development in a transaction-intensive environment</li><li>Comfortable with outbound outreach, on-site visits and building trust over multiple touchpoints</li><li>Structured thinking combined with a high-activity, entrepreneurial working style</li><li>Fluent German and English required</li></ul>
