Alternatives Capital Formation, Private Credit – Senior Associate / Vice President

Goldman Sachs Asset & Wealth Management is seeking a Senior Associate or Vice President to join its Alternatives Capital Formation (ACF) team in New York, within the Strategic Partnerships group, focused on Asset-Based Finance (ABF) and Investment Grade Private Credit (IGPC).

ACF is responsible for capital raising and strategy across Goldman Sachs's $2+ trillion private markets platform — spanning private equity, private credit, real estate, infrastructure, growth equity, secondaries, GP stakes, and hedge funds.

The Role:

This individual will play a key role in developing and executing bespoke strategic partnerships, including separately managed accounts (SMAs) and "fund-of-one" mandates, working closely with senior leadership, investment teams, and institutional clients. The position sits at the intersection of investment strategy and capital formation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute strategic partnerships for Asset-Based Finance and Investment Grade Private Credit mandates

- Structure and negotiate SMAs and bespoke client solutions for institutional investors, pension plans, sovereign wealth funds, and insurance companies

- Partner closely with Goldman Sachs's credit investment teams on product development and portfolio construction

- Engage with and present to senior institutional clients, boards, and investment committees

- Contribute to broader ACF strategy across the alternatives platform

Requirements:

- 3–6 years of experience in private credit, capital formation, or alternatives placement

- Deep understanding of private credit structures including ABF, IGPC, structured products

- Strong communication and relationship management skills

- Located in New York
