About This Role

One of Europe's most ambitious philanthropic institutions — with a mandate to compound capital over decades across public equities, leveraged buyouts, venture and growth capital, hedge funds, and real assets — is seeking an Investment Manager to join its investment team in Potsdam, Germany.

This is a three-year rotational program designed for early-career investment professionals. You will work alongside senior members of the investment team to further build out a truly global, multi-asset-class portfolio.

Responsibilities:

- Support the full investment cycle: sourcing, underwriting, monitoring, and divesting external fund managers

- Identify new investment themes and emerging fund management teams globally

- Contribute to investment discussions and portfolio strategy development

- Help build and maintain the professional network across managers, co-investors, and banks

Upon successful completion, you can advance to a senior investment team position with greater autonomy.

The Foundation operates with a long-term horizon and genuine strategic latitude — not mandate-constrained or bureaucratic — making this an exceptional opportunity to develop as an investment professional across asset classes.

Requirements:

- 2–4 years of experience in a top-tier private equity firm, investment bank, asset management firm, or management consultancy

- Strong analytical skills and ability to conduct fundamental company research

- Global perspective and genuine interest in a wide range of investment themes

- Fluency in English required; German is a plus but not required

- Willingness to travel and be based in Potsdam, Germany

- Integrity, discretion, and a strong moral compass
