CFO – PE-Backed Industrial Company

Our client is a well-established, Private Equity-backed industrial company operating in a specialised B2B environment in the Heilbronn area, Germany. The business is in a strong growth phase driven by international expansion, increasing operational complexity, and a broader product portfolio. The company is seeking an experienced CFO to professionalise its finance organisation and support the next phase of PE-backed growth.

Responsibilities:

- Overall responsibility for finance, accounting, controlling, legal, insurance, governance, and compliance (excluding HR)

- Leadership, stabilisation, and development of an established finance team

- Hands-on ownership of operational and strategic finance topics in a dynamic growth environment

- Responsibility for monthly, quarterly, and annual closing and reporting; enhancement of reporting quality, controls, and governance structures

- Ownership of budgeting, rolling forecasts, financial planning, and scenario modelling

- Development of management reporting, KPI frameworks, and performance transparency across the business

- Driving EBITDA, margin, cash flow, and working capital performance through disciplined financial steering

- Commercial sparring partner to the CEO, management team, and PE investor on strategic and operational topics

This role offers the opportunity to shape the finance function of a growing PE-backed industrial business at a critical juncture, working directly with the private equity sponsor.

Requirements:

- Proven track record as a CFO or senior finance leader in a PE-backed or growth-stage industrial/B2B company

- Experience with PE ownership, investor reporting, and shareholder-facing responsibilities

- Hands-on, entrepreneurial approach with ability to manage both strategy and execution

- Based in or willing to relocate to the Heilbronn area, Germany

- Fluency in German and English
