Role Overview

Five Points Capital (FPC) is hiring an Associate for its investment team in Winston-Salem, NC. Founded in 1997, FPC is a leading independent private debt and equity manager exclusively focused on the U.S. lower middle market.

About the Firm

FPC provides flexible unitranche, second lien, and subordinated debt solutions with equity co-investment in support of private equity firms, independent sponsors, direct lending partners, and management teams. The firm is actively investing out of Fund V, a 2025-vintage $420 million SBIC fund, deploying approximately $100 million per year in a mix of debt and equity securities with a targeted debt/equity allocation of 80%/20%. In more actively managed opportunities, the firm will invest with debt/equity allocations upward of 50%/50%.

Key Responsibilities

- Support new deal execution as well as portfolio monitoring for existing investments

- Work in small deal teams that vary for each transaction, with direct exposure to senior investment professionals

- Gain broad investment experience across debt and equity co-investments supporting private equity sponsors

- Work directly with portfolio company management teams
