This is an outstanding opportunity to join an established and growing Private Equity firm in NYC, where the CFO is seeking a strategic right-hand partner and future leader. The ideal candidate is ambitious, intellectually curious, and looking to build the experience needed to step into a CFO role within the next 5–6 years.

This is not a siloed accounting role. Finance and accounting are deeply integrated across the organization. The hire will work closely with deal teams, marketing, operations, and leadership to understand how accounting impacts the broader firm.

Key responsibilities include:

- Reviewing and overseeing the work of fund accountants while understanding broader business implications

- Monitoring how deal activity impacts accounting and reporting flows across the firm

- Supporting KPI tracking and business performance measurement

- Communicating effectively with internal teams and external investors

Ideal candidate profile:

- Loves automation, process improvement, and scalability

- Thinks strategically, not transactionally

- Has strong analytical instincts and can identify anomalies quickly

- Understands PE fund structures, capital calls, distributions, and NAV reporting

- Enjoys wearing multiple hats in a collaborative, flat organizational structure
