Role Overview
CalPERS — the California Public Employees' Retirement System — is the nation's largest public pension fund, managing approximately $658.81 billion in assets. The Global Public Equity team is hiring an Associate Investment Manager to join its Implementation Team, focused on equity portfolio construction and day-to-day equity, currency, and derivatives trading within the emerging markets allocation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support equity portfolio construction across the Global Public Equity program
- Execute day-to-day trading of equities, currencies, and derivatives
- Contribute to implementation of emerging markets investment strategy alongside senior portfolio managers
Qualifications
- Investment professional background with experience in portfolio implementation, trading, or equity markets
- Comfortable working within a large institutional investment organization
Compensation & Location
- $10,937.50–$18,229.17/month ($131,250–$218,750 annualized)
- Annual incentive of 0–60% of salary; long-term incentive program available after five years
- Hybrid schedule: up to 2 days remote, 3+ days onsite, Sacramento, CA
