Software Growth Equity Associate

Role Overview

Bow River Capital's Software Growth Equity team, which closed an oversubscribed $605 million Fund II in Q1 2023, is hiring an Associate to join its Denver-based investment team. The strategy targets majority positions in mission-critical B2B SaaS companies, with a proprietary sourcing advantage in the Rocky Mountain region and Plains States, as well as cross-border and global platform investments.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct investment analysis including industry/market research, financial modeling, valuation, and operational assessment

- Develop and refine investment themes within targeted software verticals

- Prepare materials for investment underwriting, LP communication, and management meetings

- Manage transaction execution end-to-end, including due diligence coordination and documentation

- Drive portfolio company value creation through financial monitoring, board-level participation, and direct collaboration with leadership

- Support implementation of Bow River's Software Growth Equity Playbook across portfolio companies

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record (Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Math preferred)

- 1-3 years of experience in technology-focused investment banking, private equity, growth equity, or corporate M&A

- Direct experience with recurring-revenue B2B SaaS business models

- Advanced Excel, financial modeling, and valuation skills; working knowledge of PE transaction structures

Compensation & Location

Denver, CO (in-office; firm offers a remote month each July 15-August 15). Base salary $110,000-$130,000 plus annual discretionary bonus and equity.
