About This Role

BOND Orthodontic Partners, a private equity-backed dental service organization (DSO) headquartered in Frisco, TX, is hiring a Head of Corporate Development to lead the company's growth through orthodontic practice acquisitions and partnerships. The role combines relationship-building with orthodontists across BOND's multi-state footprint with hands-on deal execution, including financial modeling, valuation, and transaction negotiation.

Responsibilities span the full deal lifecycle. On sourcing and pipeline management, the role owns the M&A pipeline and CRM, builds a referral network of brokers and industry contacts, tracks competitor acquisition activity, and attends industry conferences. On strategy and executive reporting, the Head of Corporate Development builds detailed financial models, valuations, and returns analyses in Excel, produces investment-committee and board-ready PowerPoint materials, and serves as the primary liaison between the private equity sponsor and the management team on corporate development reporting.

On transaction execution, the role leads negotiation of deal terms directly with orthodontists and their advisors, structures partnership and joint venture arrangements including equity rollover, earn-outs, and physician co-investment models, and manages the transaction end-to-end through close in coordination with legal, finance, and integration teams. Post-close, the role maintains the primary relationship with newly partnered orthodontists through a defined transition period and evaluates handoff effectiveness.

The ideal candidate has proven experience managing M&A transactions from sourcing through close, with healthcare services, DSO, or multi-site consolidation experience strongly preferred, advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, working legal knowledge of M&A and partnership/JV structures, and experience preparing board and investor materials while interfacing directly with a private equity sponsor. The role requires 30-50% travel, including overnight travel to target practices and industry events.
