Associate, Private Debt

Role Overview

Audax Group, a leading alternative investment manager with ~$42B AUM, is hiring an Associate for its Private Debt division (est. 2000, 50+ investment professionals) in New York.

Key Responsibilities

- Investment underwriting: analyzing sponsor-backed transactions, conducting industry analysis, building financial models, evaluating capital structures

- Deal execution: participating in transaction stages from screening through closing, preparing investment materials for committee review

- Portfolio monitoring: tracking investment performance, analyzing amendments and refinancing opportunities, monitoring market developments affecting portfolio companies

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree

- 2-4 years in investment banking, direct lending, private credit, or related fields

- Experience developing and utilizing detailed financial models

- LBO/sponsor transaction exposure

- Leveraged transaction analysis and credit committee experience preferred

Compensation & Location

$110,000-$150,000 base (NYC only) plus discretionary annual bonus. 4 days/week in-office (subject to change).
